MPD's Favorite Baby Gear
Becoming a new parent is HARD. We have to be thoughtful in every decision because even the small things have a big impact. The staff here at My Pure Delivery are baby experts with many, many years of experience helping new families along their journeys.
We are passionate about baby safety, reducing chemical exposure where possible, and about finding products to make your lives a little easier without putting you or your baby at risk of exposure to potentially harmful chemicals or hazardous items. We also pay attention to what our clients say has worked for them.
Every mom and every baby are different, so these recommendations are not guaranteed to work for you and yours, but we are confident that, in the swarm of “must have” baby products available, this list can help narrow it down for you. All products listed here have been used by our staff and/or clients, and have been researched for product safety by our founder, Diba, who is a neonatal nurse, lactation consultant and passionate baby safety expert.

We love natural products that WORK and also reduce your baby’s exposure to potentially harmful chemicals. The Happi Tummi provides fast relief of tummy issues like colic, gas, and acid reflux. Just heat the reusable herbal pouch and wrap it around baby’s tummy to provide gentle compression and release the therapeutic herbal blend.
It’s safe, effective, and 100% natural.
The Boba Wrap is stretchy and SOFT, machine washable, and comes with simple instructions, making life just a little easier for new moms. The wrap stretches and supports you and your baby, and retains its shape nicely with ergonomic weight distribution.
We especially love this wrap because it’s easy to adjust and breastfeed in. You can nurse while wearing it, without taking your baby out of the wrap or being exposed.
This super soft wearable blanket is designed to keep newborns safe, warm and comfortable in any climate. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends sleep sacks over loose blankets to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Halo’s fasteners adjust 3 ways; arms-in to reduce startle reflex, hands to face for self soothing, and 1 or 2 arms out for easy transition out of swaddling. We love the inverted zipper that opens from the bottom for easy diaper changes without undoing the swaddle!
The Doona is a hybrid car seat and stroller, all in one! It provides a complete and fully integrated travel system that allows you to move from car seat to stroller in seconds. So practical not to have to wake the baby getting in and out of the car.
4moms created this infant seat to comfort, soothe, and entertain your baby. Bluetooth enabled with sounds and 5 unique motions. It bounces up and down and side to side just like parents do! Adjustable seat recline, machine washable fabric, and no batteries to mess with.
Paced bottle feeding is especially important for breastfed infants. When looking for a bottle for your baby, chose one with an extra slow flow nipple to avoid “flow preference,” which is when a baby prefers the faster flow of the bottle and becomes frustrated at the breast. Faster flow nipples can also contribute to overeating. To see the paced bottle feeding technique, click HERE.
When families ask our lactation consultants for bottle recommendations, this one from Tommie Tippee is one of our top picks. It has a wider base allowing for baby to keep his/her mouth wide open, which is ideal for many breastfeeding babies. **Please note that this only refers to the size 0 “Extra Slow Flow” nipple, not the regular “Slow Flow” nipple which actually has a very fast flow.**
