Diba is a Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Child Passenger Safety Technician, Certified Educator of Infant Massage and the founder of Babies 411.com, an online information and resource center for parents. Specialized in the field of neonatology, she has extensive training in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and is passionate in educating parents on safe infant care. Babies 411was created to bring together high quality information and resources to empower parents to make educated, informed decisions when caring for their child. She has authored 7 Steps to Keeping Your Baby Healthy and Safe to teach parents safe baby care and discuss ways to reduce exposure to harmful chemicals.
After receiving her Associates Degree in Nursing in August of 1999, Diba began her career in the NICU. In 2001, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree and was presented with the Nursing and the Law Award for Outstanding Clinician. As a traveling agency nurse, she has traveled from state to state and has cared for thousands of babies and their families. In her experiences, Diba has been exposed to a multitude of parental concerns, from the common place concerns of a well baby to the critical needs of a Level III NICU baby (the sickest and most critical). Seasoned with her experiences of transitioning parents into their new role and babies into their new world, Diba created Babies 411 to aid parents in making educated, informed decisions regarding the care of their baby.
Diba passionately advocates for environmental health and reducing children’s exposure to toxins. Her mission is to educate healthcare professionals on the dangers of chemicals found in the products currently used in healthcare facilities. She is dedicated to changing current practices in our hospital systems to promote the health and well-being of moms and their new babies.
